WHAT IS A SPRING BASE?
To keep items at the top of a trolley/tub, so the person loading and unloading does not have to bend down into the base. The more weight that is put on, the spring / board slowly goes down, allowing more space for linen etc. 
Most commonly used within commercial / industrial laundries - however - we have produced them for many other uses ie. freight.
